Character Post 1 - Ella

It's a bit difficult to 'jump' back in to my One Year Adventure Novel after I took three days off from writing. So this is me, attempting to get the creative juices flowing - first by rambling, then by posting my very first character post for your enjoyment. I figured it might help a little, especially because I don't often post about anything interesting. Here goes!

Ella, the servant girl. A picture of selflessness and patient endurance. She lost both of her parents, and that alone is enough to make life rough. But then she is left under the power of her stepmother and stepsisters, destined to be a servant in her own home...or is she?

Ella never once challenges her step-family, but does whatever she is told without ever receiving any kind of reward for her hard work. The one thing Ella really desires in her heart of hearts is someone who will love her. Someone who will make her feel precious. For everyone in this world is very precious, even the ones who seem least of all.

If Ella can have nothing else, she has but one wish: to have a single night for herself and attend the Prince's royal ball.

Ella is one of my favorite fictional characters in the world of stories. She is humble with an inner beauty that almost no one takes the time to notice, and deep inside, she has the courage to find her voice and speak up. She remains faithful to her station in life, even through some of the most difficult trials.

And then someone takes notice of this special young woman and Ella believes she is saved. But things take a turn for the worst after she meets this 'someone'. That is when Ella stands up for herself and finds the courage to fight.

I am so excited to see Disney's new twist on the classic tale of Cinderella. I'm prepared to tear up and, most likely.......cry.
