Hey Livvie, I've written this (really dumb) short "story", and thought you might like to read it. :)
I sat there beneath the willow tree, thinking about nothing much; just enjoying the singing of the birds, and the rippling of the creek. As I sat there in silence, I suddenly heard a twig snap behind me. I turned my head, and saw my good friend Daniel come up, riding his horse. I stood up, and smiled. “Hi! What are you doing here?” He dismounted, and walked over to me. “Oh, I needed to ask your parents something, and they said that you were here…” I gave him a funny look. “Why were you looking for me?” He shifted uncomfortably, and scratched his head. “Well, I uh…” he looked around, as if he was afraid someone would hear. “I was wondering if you, I mean, if you wouldn’t mind…” I caught my breath. First he went to my parents, now he was here? What was he going to ask? My mind raced. We’ve been friends for so long, could he be… I blinked. No, it couldn’t be…could it? I looked up at him as he continued. “Well, you know that I’m going to be leaving for a couple weeks, and…” I looked up at him. “And?” He cleared his throat. “Well, you know I wouldn’t…couldn’t ask anyone else this, but…” I felt ready to faint. Could he really be asking me? He suddenly grabbed my hand. “Sarah, could you…” I held my breath. “Could you……watch my horse for me while I’m gone?”
Aw! Oh my word I loved that! It made me laugh out loud! :D I wish I could think of some good short stories like that, but I think I lost the knack :P Thanks for making me laugh Megs ^_^ Hope you have a good night!
