My mom and little sister found
a baby hummingbird in our yard yesterday!
We think that maybe it fell
from the nest too early and couldn't fly very well.
But today, it's doing better!
It flew around a bit and was able to drink
from our hummingbird feeder.
That's its mother =) Aren't they beautiful?
I've been closer to our hummingbird friends
in the past day than in my whole life.
It was so cute and funny to watch the baby
testing its wings. Like a little bee.
They're amazing creatures.
I really hope this little birdie learns to fly better
and survives well. We spotted a large hawk
around our woods, pretty close to our house.
Oh my gracious! This is the cutest post in the entire world!! The third picture really brought a smile to my face. God's creatures are so amazing and beautiful.

^_^ It keeps coming to land and rest on our porch railing every morning! I love it, but I would rather it leave and be on its own than be bait for just about any predator! We've had to keep our cats inside for days.
