The book is obviously about a very, very large train. So far, there's been Sasquatch sightings (and scary encounters), a murder, a traveling circus aboard the train, a mysterious key that unlocks a secret train car, and and and...a lot!
The story is told in first person which some of you may or may not like. I personally don't care how it's told, I just love the story and characters. The main character is named Will, and his new friend, Maren, is a part of the traveling circus, well known for her expertise as an 'escape artist'.
Will is the only one to witness the murder of the man who guarded the train's secret locked car. The car contains the body of the man who built the train. He wasn't murdered, don't worry. But now Will is in possession of one of two keys that make the car accessible. And there are strange things inside that car - some that a man might want to steal, and some that might turn out to be very dangerous.
I'm excited to dive further into this one! Kenneth Oppel's Airborn books were outstanding. This one isn't quite as good as the Airborn books, but The Boundless does hold some quirky features that are almost magical. For instance, a whole lot of Sasquatches.I'm also reading a book called Wings by E.D. Baker. She also wrote The Tales of the Wide-Awake Princess, and The Frog Princess books. I never had the chance to try Wings, so now I am. It's pretty good so far.
I've been reading too many books at once lately...three is probably too much, right?
Have a lovely Wednesday =)

Hmm, they both look pretty interesting! =)
ReplyDeleteI've tried to read three books at a time. Doesn't work very well huh? ;)
When I was reading three at the same time, I kinda got parts from each book mixed up together! =P You know what I mean?
Haha! That's exactly what I keep doing! (mixing up different parts)
DeleteBy the way, scratch 'Wings' outta that post, it's soooo boring! I may just skip to the end and make sure everyone lives happily ever after, which I'm sure they do ;)
But 'The Boundless' keeps getting better =D
