Winter Begins...

I woke up to a lovely flurry of snow out my window this morning. It snowed lightly all day and is continuing to do so. Happy first day of winter!

I believe that Christmas Eve is the most exciting and fun day of the year. We have our treats, play board games, watch Christmas movies, and each open one gift from under the tree.

I really want to try and get up at some ridiculously early hour on Christmas and sneak downstairs until morning. I try every year, but our house is so creaky and loud. And our pets get all disrupted if they hear me.

We leave the Christmas lights on all night and my parents are usually the first ones up. They turn on Christmas music and we all go downstairs before sunrise.


It's supposed to rain on Christmas Eve, but I'm praying it will be cold enough up on our hill to snow instead.

I'm thinking it would be fun to type in my story until very late on Christmas Eve...I'm sure I'll be exploding with inspiration since it is a winter story.

    Aw, fun! :)
    I wish/hope it would snow here for Christmas...but it's actually really warm and wet here, so there's not much of a chance for snow. :(
    Oh well, I can still dream of a white Christmas! ;)

      Well...all of our snow has been washed away in rain. And it's been super warm and humid here. So I'll be dreaming of a white Christmas with you! ;)
