Riding my bike over to see Daisy in the evening is so peaceful. I love watching her head jerk up when she hears me coming towards her. I walk down into the pasture, slip on her halter, and walk her up to the fence. I then spray her with animal bug spray; the bugs are TERRIBLE around the horses. Riley has followed me and Daisy and brings his hundreds of black flies with him.
After brushing Daisy I clip on two lead ropes to her halter, mount her, and take her for a small, peaceful ride around half of the pasture. Daisy can be stubborn and annoying, but riding with just her halter and lead ropes is different.
I bike home at sunset and think of Daisy the whole time.
